This application is made solely for the use of pilots and clinicians working in the service of Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT).
The application will, when provided with the day's 1000' wind forecast and an incident UK OS grid reference, provide both flying and driving times to the area hospitals. This list is displayed in ascending order of flight times and the selector at the bottom of the hospital list page may be used to highlight specific specialities within the list.

Enter the OS grid square letters (e.g. TL) and the 3-digit easting and northing to identify the incident location.
Set the day's 1000' wind direction and speed, and the aircraft's indicated airspeed (IAS), before calculating times.
Estimated flight time to each hospital in minutes:seconds, ordered shortest first.
Estimated road driving time to the same hospital for comparison.
Average number of minutes from landing to the patient being handed over inside the hospital.
H24 — helicopter pad available 24 hours.
Daylight Only — pad restricted to daylight hours.
Sun up – 2100 — pad open between sunrise and 21:00.
* Not in SAS HLS — hospital not listed in the SAS Helicopter Landing Site database.
